Motivational Story : Change Your Gaze

Motivational Story by sandeep maheshwari – There was a very big leader, once he went to a small ashram of a hermit. Since this leader had heard praises about this monk from many people, it came to his mind that I should meet that monk once and see why people praise him so much. When he went to that monk's ashram, there was a small room where a carpet was spread.

Some people were sitting down on that carpet and Sadhu ji was sitting in front, in which some questions and answers were going on. That leader came to that ashram. There were four bodyguards along with that leader. Such was the personality of that leader that wherever he used to go, people would stand up from their places and look at him with folded hands and bow their heads.

That leader entered the ashram but the monk did not even look at him because he was busy. The leader felt that this was an insult to me and he got angry because of this. The leader cut off the monk's words with a little anger and said that I want to say something to you. The monk looked at the leader and said, wait for a while, first I will answer the questions of the public, after that I will talk to you. Till then you can sit outside.

The leader's face turned red with anger after listening to the monk and then he vented all his anger on that monk. Till now that leader was talking in a very polite manner, but now that leader has come down to a lower level. The leader said to that monk, do you even know who I am? And who are you talking to?

The monk looked at the leader and said it doesn't matter to me who you are. Whoever you are, if you want me to answer your question or talk to you, you will have to wait for a while. On hearing these words of the monk, the leader became mad with anger and started shouting in front of everyone.

Now I will show you your real status, you have not done right by messing with me. The monk again looked at the leader and said very lovingly that I do not care what you are and think about me.

The leader was going mad with anger and was saying that you are not a saint, you are a very bad person, you are a hypocrite and he is fooling all the people sitting here. Your only aim is that all the money that these people have in their pockets should come to you.

You are using these people for your benefit and now I am not going to leave you. I will expose you in front of the whole world.

But even after saying so much, a slight smile remained on the face of that monk. Seeing this, the leader got even more agitated and said, "Enough is enough". Now I am not going to stay here even for a minute, but still you have a chance, if you want to apologize to me or say something to me, then you can say it.

Even after all this, the monk had a smile on his face and was completely calm. The monk closed his eyes and took a deep breath and then opened his eyes and folded hands and said to the leader, I have no complaints against you.

I don't have any bad thoughts for you. Whatever you said about me was your own opinion, I don't see any evil in you. You seem like a very nice person to me. Netaji's mind reached the seventh sky as soon as the monk said this. There was a strange joy on the face of the monk because that monk said the same thing that everyone else said to that leader. Now that leader happily left that ashram towards his home and went home and sat with his father.

At that time Netaji's father was in meditation, he had only served the people all his life and did not take anything from anyone in return. After a while, when the father of that leader opened his eyes, he saw his son sitting beside him. Seeing his son sitting beside him, there was a strange happiness on the father's face which he had never seen before today.

Then that leader told his father all the things about the monk one by one. He told what happened today, how he went to the ashram and what happened there, what he said and what the monk said.

When the leader's father heard the whole story of his son, he smiled a little and looking at his son said that the monk did not praise you. The sage did not say what you are, rather he said what he himself is. Whatever you said to him, he did not say that he is but you said that you are yourself.

The same thing has also been said in the Vedas that you do not see this world as it is, but you see this world as you are. That is, this world is the same for the one whose vision is. If you want to change your world, then there is only one way to change your vision first.
